Conversano is a destination that can be easily reached from all corners of Puglia., thanks to its strategic location between Bari and other renowned tourist destinations. Here are all the options to reach it comfortably and quickly.
In Auto
Conversano is about 30 km from Bari and is easily accessible by car.
From Bari:
– Strada Statale 100 (SS100) in a southerly direction, so follow the signs for the Strada Statale 172 (SS172) towards Conversano.
From other locations:
– If you travel on the’A14 Motorway, you can exit at the toll booth South Bari and continue in the direction of Turi–Conversano.
On the Train
Conversano is connected via the Ferrovie del Sud Est (FSE) railway line.
Currently, the line is active only between Putignano – Conversano – Rutigliano.

The train station is located a few minutes' walk from the historic centre.
On the bus
Conversano is served by Regional buses that connect the city to Bari, Castellana Grotte, Alberobello, Polignano a Mare, Mola di Bari, and other tourist locations in the area.

On a plane
The nearest airport is the Bari Karol Wojtyła (Bari-Palese), approximately 30 minutes by car from Conversano.
Once landed, you can:
take a bus or a train to Bari,
– then continue by train or FSE bus
– to choose the car hire or a taxi service to arrive directly in Conversano
